The Bike MS Champions program strives to connect people living with MS and cyclists from the 2012 Bike MS Oregon Willamette Valley Ride. These connections foster education, awareness, gratitude and most importantly hope, through the symbol of a Champion identifier, a special Champion bib that can be mailed to you prior to the event. During Bike MS, cyclists wear the Champion identifier. The paired Champions are given the opportunity to exchange e-mails and are encouraged to connect before, during or after the event.

As a cyclist, you are not simply raising money for a cause. You are helping us to make a difference in the lives of others through programs, services, and research to find a cure for MS.

There are two ways for cyclists to become a Bike MS Champion:

1. Ride for someone you know: If you know someone living with MS, you can choose to ride in honor of him/her. Then teams can inspire others by sharing their champion’s photo and story. Individual cyclists can also to tell us who motivates you. To share your story, e-mail Jennifer Holman at jennifer.holman@nmss.org. We will post them to the Web site.
    
2. Let us pick: Can’t choose? No problem. E-mail jennifer.holman@nmss.org and we’ll pair you with someone.

Do you want to share the mission behind Bike MS with a group of cyclists? As a person living with multiple sclerosis, you are adding depth to a cyclist’s experience, by increasing awareness of our mission, and serving as a critical part in the fight against MS. You are providing your Champion with hope, inspiration and encouragement. Your Champion may be able to do the same for you!
