Join us on Saturday and Sunday, August 3-5, 2012 at Bike MS Oregon Willamette Valley, as we celebrate our 28th annual ride.  Bike MS wouldn’t be possible without the commitment of the hundreds of volunteers who assist in the office and on the day of the event.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 3, 2012

Location – Rider Village, Western Oregon University, Monmouth

   Event Set-Up - 12:00pm – 4:00pm

  • Unload trucks, lift, move, and sort boxes, set-up tables and chairs, hang banners and make the event look great for riders. 

   Registration and T-Shirts - 4:00pm – 9:00pm

  • Check-in, register, and inform riders

   Rider Village Support - 4:00pm – 9:00pm

  • General event support, work with riders, support Bike MS event staff and a hundred little things that need to happen to make Bike MS a success.  Must be able to lift, move, and sort boxes/crates/event supplies.

   Medical/First Aid – Various shifts

  • Provide basic first aid to participants, volunteers, and staff.  A background check is required. 

SATURDAY, AUGUST 4, 2012

Location:  Rider Village, Western Oregon University, Monmouth

   Registration and T-Shirts - 5:30am – 9:00am

  • Check-in, register, and inform riders

   Rider Village Support 1 - 5:00am – 9:00am

   Rider Village Support 2- 12:00pm – 4:00pm

   Rider Village Support 3 - 4:00pm – 9:30pm

  • General event support, work with riders, support Bike MS event staff and a hundred little things that need to happen to make Bike MS a success. Must be able to lift, move, and sort boxes/crates/event supplies.

 Location: On the route at various locations

   Route Marshalls (Various times)

  • Help our riders stay safe by monitoring critical areas along to the route by warning riders of upcoming caution areas

   Rest Stop Support 1 – Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge (Jefferson) - 7:00am – 12:00pm

   Rest Stop Support 2 -  Stayton Middle School (Stayton) - 7:45am – 1:00pm

   Rest Stop Support 3 – Silver Falls State Park  - 9:15am – 1:00pm

   Rest Stop Support 4 – Frank Lloyd Wright House (Silverton) - 9:30am – 2:30pm

   Rest Stop Support 5 -  Pratum Elementary School (Salem) – 11:15am – 4:00pm

   Rest Stop Support 6 – Porter Boone Park (Aumsville) – Shift 1 - 8:45am – 12:30pm

                                    Porter Boone Park (Aumsville) – Shift 2 - 12:00pm – 5:00pm

   Rest Stop Support 7 – Rolling Hills Baptist Church (Salem) – Shift 1 - 9:45am – 2:00pm

                                    Rolling Hills Baptist Church (Salem) – Shift 2 - 1:30pm – 5:30pm

   Rest Stop Support 8 –  Buena Vista Ferry (Buena Vista) - 8:00am – 1:30pm

  • General event support to help with set-up, run the rest stop, and then clean-up.  Includes lifting, moving, and sorting of boxes, crates, and event supplies, setting out food and water, clean-up, and garbage removal.
